We were very honoured that two of our wonderful volunteeers received recognition in the 2025 Stars of Teignbridge Awards Ceremony that took place at the Pavillions, Teignmouth on the 7 November.
Kim Batchelor was shortlisted in the Experimentation category for her work delivering books to people who are not able to use library services. Kim regularly visits Care homes and leaves a selection of books and DVD's.
Kate Young was the winner in the Balance and Boundaries section for her work supporting clients of Assist Teignbridge with benefit applications. This can involve asking personal health and financial questions, so strong boudaries are essential.
Well done to all volunteers who do such amazing work across Teignbridge!
Our service is here to support the following groups of people in Teignbridge:
Older People, Adults with Dementia, Adults with Mental Health Problems, Adults with Sensory Disabilities, Adults with Physical Difficulties, Adults with Learning Difficulties and Carers of any of the above.
Assist Teignbridge received the King's Award for Voluntary Service.
